Configuring SMTP users

You can use the SMTP protocol to send e-mail using Heysender. You can add multiple SMTP users to have separate passwords, statistics, log lookups etc.

This is how you add an SMTP user.

Click Domains in the left side menu. Click the domain you wish to setup SMTP users on, in this case we are using mydomain.com

Click SMTP users in the top navigation bar.

Click the Add new SMTP user button in the top right corner.

Fill in the username for the SMTP user. Make sure it is unique so you can easily identify it later. Now click Create SMTP user

After adding the SMTP user you will be shown the password. This password will only be shown to you once.

If you need to you can reset it at a later stage but only to a password generated by Heysender.

Be aware when resetting the password. If the SMTP user is active anywhere else. It will stop working

Once an SMTP user has been created you can click on it to access it’s settings.

It is possible to enable Tracking on the emails that are passing through the SMTP user, so that you may see when recipients both open emails and click on links in them.

It is also possible to enable Anonymize email this means that after the message is sent, the recipient, subject and body of the email will be anonymized.

To connect to our servers via SMTP use the following information:

SMTP hostname: smtp.heysender.com
Port number: 25,2525,587
