If you’re a Shoporama client it’s easy to start using Heysender.
Why should you use a service like ours to send your e-mails? Because of all the advantages Heysender gives you.
You can configure both SPF and DKIM with Heysender letting you achieve DMARC alignment which could impact the delivery of your e-mail greatly. In short, more of your e-mails should end up in the inbox when using our SMTP service combined with SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
Furthermore you can look up e-mails sent from Shoporama in Heysender and see specifically which e-mails were not delivered and why. You can even resend an e-mail to your customers right from the Heysender interface.
Getting started in Heysender
After creating your Heysender account and logging in you will be greeted with this page.
Add your first domain by clicking Domain in the menu to the left and clicking the button “Add domain”.
After adding the domain you can add an SMTP user by clicking “SMTP users” and clicking “Add new SMTP user”. Fill in the username, for instance “shoporama”.
After adding the SMTP user Heysender will show you the password – save it since this is the only time it will be shown to you.

Now you’re ready to set up the SMTP service in Shoporama.
Configuring Shoporama to use Heysender
Log in to your Shoporama account and go to the settings by clicking the Gears icon in the top right corner. In the left menu you will find an SMTP link – click it.
This is where you configure an alternative SMTP for Shoporama. Click the “Use your own SMTP” checkbox and fill in the form with the username and password from Heysender. The Server setting should contain “smtp.heysender.com” and the Port setting should be “25”.
That’s it! Now all e-mails sent from Shoporama will go through Heysender which lets you easily look up logs with delivery information etc. If you have questions regarding using Heysender with Shoporama do not hesitate to contact us.
